Get out there and vote

Hello there sports fans and a few people that have accidentally come across this humble mans blog. This is the second blog of who knows how many. Depends on if I ever wake up and realize that I am the only one that is looking at this thing. As all of you know this is a sports blog so lets get into a little of what I am thinking about.

Lets start out with my favorite baseball player who is getting no respect at all by fans out there. I am talking about the baseball switch hitting stud for the Atlanta Braves, Chipper Jones. This man is going to going into the hall of fame with a career .310 batting average and current 398 home run, and right now is the number one average hitter at .418, and he is not 1st in the 3rd base voting. You have got to be kidding me. How can you not vote for a guy who has the highest batting average in the modern era at this time in baseball. Chipper Jones is about a fourth of the way through and still has a over .400 average. Can he get some love. I have seen more love from a cheerleader to a nerd in high school, than Chipper Jones is getting for his all star type of season. He is a very above average 3rd baseman too so he is not just a Ryan Howard who are all offense and have not yet gotten defense up to date. Can I get some readers to vote for Chipper Jones so we can have a guy that is on an amazing tear as a switch hitter and not have David Wright there who is not even on a .500 team.

Now that that is off my chest a little lets talk about a man who opened up his mouth, or wrote down some stupid smack that should go down as one of the more stupid statements of the month. Yes I am talking about you Pete Prisco. When you are talking about the most overrated player on the Jaguars you should not say that the person is Rashean Mathis. A player that has worked his butt of coming from a division 2 player into one of the best corners in the league. A man who has 20 interceptions and 303 tackles in his 5 years in the league. That inludes an injury plagued 2007 year. So look at the numbers and the speed and ability before you put your foot in my mouth. You may have beaten me with how far you put your foot in your mouth, I am not sure I will have to ask my wife. I am sure that you have though.

So there are some good news though and that is Paul Spicer is in the OTA practices for the Jaguars and that Doug Collins looks like he is going to return as the "new" coach of the Chicago Bulls. HE is a very intense man which did not work with Scott Skiles but hey you never know.

Well for the next Tim probably not this soon. Keep telling other people.

Hello to the two people that may read

For the few people that are reading this, welcome. I am writing a blog for the main reason of writing down my sports knowledge and opinions so that I do not annoy my wife anymore with talking about sports too much. If you are looking for a blog with extravagant grammar , you are going to need to go somewhere else cause if it was not for this auto spell check you might not even be able to tell what I am typing.

So lets begin our new relationship as the writer and the reader. You may need to know my favorite teams so that when you read this you will know where my mindset is. I enjoy almost all sports including but not only football, basketball, baseball, soccer, tennis, and random other sports depending on type of year and event. I will warn you though I am a fledgling when it comes to soccer and tennis and I am learning day to day.

My favorite teams are Florida Gators, North Carolina Tar Heels in College, Jacksonville Jaguars in Football, Lakers and Orlando Magic in NBA, and Atlanta Braves and the Boston Red Sox for baseball. And before I hear a bunch of bandwagoner talkers about lakers and red sox I can assure you that I love the Red Sox because I HATE the Yankees. Let me say that again I HATE THE YANKEES. The only team that I hate as much as the Yankees is the Tennessee Titans and their coach who had the balls to say the Jacksonville was their second home. Well just wait for the next 3-4 years and there will be no second home in Jacksonville especially the people with money in Jacksonville and Manderin and Orange Park region would buy some tickets. There will be some home field advantage.

Now lets talk about the Lakers game last night. Game 4. If I hear one more Spurs fan cry about the foul at the end of the game I am going to cry myself because the fans of the biggest floppers in the league are complaining about a call that would not have even gotten on the line because it was only the 4th team foul. So before you cry Spurs fans just watch the game and be happy that the officials let you come back in the game with the no call in the beginning and the traveling call, ooops that's right Duncon was not called for the traveling call. So if you are going to cry cry about the fact that twice the Spurs could have shown their experiance and beat the youngest team that was in the Playoffs, blow a 20 point 3rd quarter mark at about 6 minutes, and did not allow Kobe on the line last night, and somehow the "Dynasty" known as the Spurs could not win and now looks like they are going to squander another chance to win two championships in a row.

That is it for today and next time we will talk about again the Lakers, Atlanta Braves and how the stud Chipper Jones is doing and not getting any credit in the All Star voting, the Rays, and some Gator talk, until next time, go out and tell people about me.
